None of these photos were taken as a series rather all were collected over the years as I admired these plants in the moment that we met. I remain baffled and awe-struck. Its not just the colors, shapes, textures and aromas of flowers that amazes me-but the will to live, the unique adaptations to predators, pollinators and pressures that created this art before me.
Each lovely flowers adjusts its tones and hues, its scents and size to be the most vibrant, fullest expression of its living experience, to perfectly fill the place that it exists in the web, to live and to thrive. When I meet such a living thing, I take a picture to remember the details. I will paint a picture of this flower one day, I tell myself.
